History

Central Christian School opened on October 5, 2005. We are a non-profit school sponsored by Trinity Church Central Oahu under the administration of a director and school board. The school is located in beautiful Launani Valley, which makes it convenient for families in or around Mililani, Wahiawa, Schofield and Wheeler. We are licensed by the Department of Human Services.

Purpose & Goals

God loves children. He entrusts them to parents for spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.

The purpose of Central Christian School is to assist parents in providing children with a Christ-centered education. It is our goal to help each child develop the character and skills necessary for the future based on the firm foundation of Christian love and biblical knowledge. We teach the value of honesty, personal initiative, discipline and respect for authority, others and personal property.

At Central Christian School, we seek to help each child become what he or she can become by God’s grace. We believe that children are naturally inquisitive and have a desire to learn, and we strive to provide the loving guidance and encouragement that children need in order to perform to their highest potential.

Our Program

Our preschool program stresses individual attention and close contact between the teachers, students and parents. We believe that a small student–teacher ratio allows the opportunity for teachers to learn the individual gifts, strengths, learning styles and personality of each child. With this knowledge, teachers can minister effectively to each child’s needs and work knowledgeably with parents as they raise and teach their children.

Our daily schedule includes a circle time with Bible stories, verses and songs, indoor and outdoor activities to develop gross motor skills and perceptual motor skills, instruction and practice in playing and sharing with other children, and classroom activities that emphasize reading and math readiness.

Learning centers, art, music, science social studies, creative movement, drama and field trips all complement Central Christian School’s preschool program.
